| Built in 1930 at 1619 Broadway, just north of Times Square, stood the beautiful Brill Building. Clothing store owners the Brill brothers purchased the entire building and rented space there to publishers and others associated with the pop music business. It became known as the actual home of the mythical Tin Pan Alley and the center for popular music in the country. |
